On the eve of the KHL season, the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice hockey team was leaving the airport to play Dinamo Minsk in Belarus. The plane barely made it off the ground before it crashed near the Volga. Alexander Galimov is the only player who survived.  (nytimes)(huffpo)
